Inflation in Iran hit 35.8% in February this year
When Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi took office in June 2021 he set out to tackle the country's growing inflation and promised to expand economic growth. In the month he took office, Iran was facing inflation at almost 49%. This was made worse by sanctions imposed by the US and EU reducing Iran's revenue from oil and gas exports. So did the president's economic policies assist Iran during his leadership? Emre Boz reports.
