Indonesian govt pushes to start transitioning to new capital city
The Indonesian government is pushing to start transitioning to its new capital city in Kalimantan by Independence Day in August amid worsening land subsidence in Jakarta. However, progress is still hampered by tough negotiations on acquiring land, with many local residents standing firm to receive fair compensation. Wibisono Notodirdjo reports.
