Massive avalanche in the Alps buries Swiss village

A massive avalanche buried large parts of a mountain village in the Swiss Alps on May 28, triggered by a partial glacier collapse.

The flow of ice, mud and rock buried most of the village, which had been evacuated earlier in the month due to the risk. However, one person is still missing, officials said.
