Türkiye’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan declared a new era in Türkiye’s fight against terrorism, marking the beginning of the end to a 47-year scourge, speaking at the 32nd AK Party Consultation and Assessment Meeting in Ankara on July 12.

His remarks came after a group of PKK terrorists laid down and burned their weapons in Sulaymaniyah, northern Iraq on July 11, as part of the disarmament process declared in May following Türkiye’s years-long fight against terrorism.
