Why has Christian Schmidt decided to quit now?

The latest decision by Bosnia and Herzegovina’s High Representative Christian Schmidt to resign has stirred strong reactions across the country. It is a premature departure from a position he held for five years, a tenure marked by both reforms and political deadlock.

In this episode, Across The Balkans examines what did make Schmidt to resign now and speaks to Professor Sead Turcalo.

On May 7, the first Sandzak Business Forum was held in Novi Pazar, Serbia. The forum was created out of the belief that this region possesses significant potential that deserves to be presented in a serious and well-organised way. The forum is envisioned as a platform that will connect investors, companies, institutions, and entrepreneurs, while also serving as a space for open dialogue about the development opportunities of Sandzak. Across The Balkans speaks to the organiser of the Forum, Haris Zogic.

Across The Balkans, hosted by Nadja Muftic, is TRT World's programme focusing on the issues and fault lines shaping Southeast Europe today.
