Israeli strikes have killed five people and wounded several others across the Palestinian territory.
"Five people have been killed since this morning in strikes by the occupation on Gaza," Gaza health officials said on Wednesday.
Gaza City's Al-Ahli hospital reported receiving "three dead and a number of wounded following an Israeli drone strike on the Zeitoun neighbourhood, southeast of Gaza City".
Two more individuals were killed, and more than a dozen were wounded in separate Israeli attacks that targeted a police vehicle in the southern Gaza city of Khan Younis, the civil defence agency and hospitals said.
One of those two was a police officer, according to a security source.
Targeting police personnel
Israel has recently intensified strikes targeting police personnel in the enclave, with Palestinian authorities accusing it of deliberately attacking the force to deepen and prolong the security chaos.
The strike comes amid continued Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement that has been in effect since October 10, 2025. Israeli attacks and gunfire since then have killed 824 Palestinians and injured 2,316 since the deal was signed, according to Gaza’s health ministry.
The agreement was reached after two years of a genocidal war launched by Israel on October 8, 2023, which left more than 72,000 Palestinians dead, over 172,000 injured and caused massive destruction to 90 percent of civilian infrastructure in Gaza.
