All suspects in the 2013 bomb attacks in Reyhanli, a district of Türkiye’s Hatay province, have been apprehended in operations coordinated by the National Intelligence Organization (MIT).
The process of apprehending those responsible for the attacks began with the capture of terrorist Yusuf Nazik in 2018. It continued with the 2025 arrests of Muhammed Dib Korali and Temir Dukanci, followed by the 2026 arrest of Omar al-Khatib.
Authorities brought all four to Türkiye in various operations.
Most recently, terrorist Mihrac Ural, who was on the “red category” of Türkiye’s wanted terrorists list, was captured near the Syrian border while attempting to flee abroad in an operation conducted by MIT and Syria’s General Intelligence Service, according to security sources.

Details of captures
Yusuf Nazik, one of the organisers of the Reyhanli attacks, was captured in an MIT operation in Latakia, Syria, on September 12, 2018, and brought to Türkiye.
About six years after Nazik’s capture, Muhammed Dib Korali, who was among the planners of the attacks, was also apprehended in an MIT operation.
Korali, who was reportedly involved in supplying the bombs, was brought to Türkiye following an operation in Syria on January 14, 2025.
Temir Dukanci, who was listed in the “orange category” of Türkiye’s wanted terrorists list, was captured in an operation along the Syria-Lebanon border.
Omar al-Khatib was the latest target in the operations against those responsible for the attacks.
Al-Khatib, who was wanted under a “red notice,” was captured by MIT on Oct. 1, while attempting to flee to Europe by sea.
On May 11, 2013, 53 people were killed, and many civilians were wounded in two separate bomb attacks in the Reyhanli district of southern Hatay Province.
