Five Palestinians, including a child, have been killed by Israeli attacks, amid continued violations of a ceasefire in effect since last October, medics said.
Medics on Sunday said Israeli gunfire directed at a tent encampment on the eastern side of the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza killed 9-year-old Tala Abu Mata.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said that two Palestinians were killed in an Israeli strike on a workshop in the Sabra district, south of Gaza City.
The bodies of the victims were torn to pieces in the attack that also injured a third Palestinian, the organisation added in a statement.
Witnesses said an Israeli drone fired at least three missiles at a building housing the workshop in the Al-Rayes neighbourhood in the district.
A Palestinian man also died of wounds he sustained from Israeli fire on Friday east of the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza, the source added.
Another Palestinian succumbed to injuries from an Israeli drone strike east of Khan Younis in southern Gaza.
Meanwhile, the Israeli army continued to demolish Palestinian homes and structures in areas under its control south of Khan Younis and east of Gaza City, according to witnesses.
Witnesses said loud explosions were heard from demolition operations in Khan Younis and Gaza City, but no injuries were reported.
Since the ceasefire took effect on October 10, 2025, Israel has killed at least 1,098 Palestinians and wounded 3,535 others, according to Gaza’s health ministry.
Israeli genocide has killed more than 73,000 Palestinians and wounded over 173,000 others since October 2023, which has also caused widespread destruction affecting about 90 percent of civilian infrastructure.
