Four Palestinians were killed and three injured critically on Friday in an attack by Israeli forces and illegal settlers on the town of Tell, southwest of Nablus in the northern occupied West Bank.

“The death toll in Tell, southwest of Nablus, has risen to four, with four others injured, three of them critically,” the Palestinian health ministry said in a statement.

Local and security sources said illegal Israeli settlers attacked Palestinian homes in the town and opened live fire toward two houses.

Meanwhile, an illegal Israeli settler was killed and three others injured on Friday in a shooting near Nablus in the northern occupied West Bank, according to the Israeli military.

The Israeli army said it dispatched troops to the area near the illegal Havat Gilad settlement following what it called “an attack on Israelis hiking in the area” and besieged Nablus and the town of Tell.

It claimed that Palestinians had “seized a security officer’s weapon and opened fire on Israelis near Havat Gilad.”

Raising Palestinian death toll

The Palestinian health ministry said the killings raised the number of Palestinians killed by Israeli forces and illegal settlers across the occupied West Bank since the beginning of 2026 to 86, including 65 killed by Israeli forces and 21 by illegal settlers.

In a statement, the Palestinian foreign ministry condemned “the massacre and terrorist crime committed by occupier militias, in partnership with the Israeli occupation forces.”

It said the attack reflected “the integration of crimes and roles” between Israeli forces and illegal Israeli settlers and urged the international community to take “practical and immediate measures” to stop the attacks and provide international protection for Palestinians.

Since the start of Israel’s genocide in Gaza on October 7, 2023, the Israeli army and illegal settlers have intensified attacks on Palestinians and their property in the occupied West Bank, killing at least 1,185 people and injuring 3,816 others, according to official Palestinian figures.
