Ottoman traditions kept alive in Macedonia
Here in the municipality of Centar Zupa, more than 80 percent of people are Turkish. The official language is Turkish. They also have a radio and newspapers. And they say they're proud they managed to preserve their traditions here in Macedonia.
Turks are the second-largest minority group in Macedonia.
They are dispersed across the country - but the largest number live in Centar Jupa, which is a designated Turkish municipality.
As TRT World's Nafisa Latic reports, Turks arrived during Ottoman times - and generations later, their traditions are thriving.
