Yemeni government forces said that they took full control of the Kahbub front in the strategic Bab al-Mandeb area in western Yemen following clashes with the Houthis.
The government-aligned Nation’s Shield Forces said on the US social media platform X that their troops, alongside the Giants Brigades and Joint Forces, established “full control” over the Kahbub front.
It said the advance was part of the ongoing “Dawn of Yemen” operation.

A tanker was struck by multiple projectiles north of Qatar, with casualties reported, according to the UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO).
UKMTO said it received a report of the incident about 94 kilometres north of Madinat ash Shamal, Qatar, at around 1900 GMT.
“A tanker has reported being struck by multiple projectiles. Casualties have been reported,” it said.
Authorities are investigating, UKMTO added.
US President Donald Trump has said that he welcomed an agreement by Türkiye and Pakistan to provide military support to Saudi Arabia as part of a new collective defence arrangement involving the three countries.
Speaking to reporters at the White House before departing for Texas, Trump was asked about the decision by Türkiye and Pakistan to send military forces to Saudi Arabia under the Mecca pact.
"I think they want to help Saudi Arabia, and I think that’s great," he replied.
The Saudi-led coalition has said that it destroyed a ballistic missile launch platform in Yemen’s Sanaa that was used in an attack on Riyadh.
Coalition spokesperson Turki al-Maliki said on X that the platform was destroyed “during preparations for an imminent attack against the kingdom.”
The US mission in Saudi Arabia has issued a security alert, urging Americans to exercise heightened vigilance amid hostilities and Houthi threats against airports and airspace in the kingdom.
“The Houthis have engaged in hostilities against Saudi Arabia, including against civilian airports, and the military conflict has the potential to escalate,” it said.
It warned Americans of potential flight cancellations, airspace closures and other travel disruptions, advising travellers to check their flight status with airlines and airports.
The mission also advised US citizens not to travel near the Yemeni border and to follow alerts issued by Saudi Arabia’s Civil Defence.
The UN Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) has said that several rounds of small arms fire struck its position near Kfar Shouba in southern Lebanon, hitting accommodation units and UN vehicles.
It occurred in the morning along the Blue Line in Sector East, the mission said in a statement on Telegram.
The Blue Line is a temporary boundary that was established by the UN in 2000 to confirm the withdrawal of Israeli forces from southern Lebanon after a two-decade occupation.
All peacekeepers stationed at the position took shelter shortly after the first round of firing, and no one was injured.
UNIFIL said it launched an investigation to determine the circumstances of the incident. The statement did not identify who fired the shots.

Egypt “categorically” has rejected dragging the Sinai Peninsula into remarks by Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, an informed source told Egypt’s state-run Middle East News Agency (MENA).
Responding to a query about Smotrich’s statements during the last two days, the source said Egypt “categorically” rejects any attempt to invoke Sinai in his remarks.
The source described the statements as “empty threats", noting that they coincide with Egypt’s celebrations marking the 53rd anniversary of its victory in the October 1973 war.
“The international community is fully aware that the Israeli occupation bears responsibility for making living conditions in Gaza nearly impossible in an attempt to push residents to leave their homeland and bring the Palestinian cause to an end,” said the source.
An oil pipeline in Syria’s northeastern Hasakah province was damaged in a “sabotage attack” as authorities arrested those responsible, the Syrian Petroleum Company said.
“The oil pipeline located near the Tal Hamis area was subjected to a sabotage attack that caused damage,” the company was quoted by state-run Alikhbariah TV.
Maintenance and emergency teams were dispatched to secure the site, isolate the damaged section and begin repairs to return the pipeline to service as soon as possible, it added.
The company said authorities identified and arrested those responsible and handed them over for legal proceedings.
It did not disclose the identities or number arrested, their alleged motives, the extent of the damage or the amount of oil spilt.
The attack came one month after an oil pipeline along the Tal Hamis-Abu Ghadir road in rural Hasakah was damaged in acts of sabotage aimed at stealing crude oil, according to local sources.
Three people have been killed, and 36 others wounded, in attacks targeting two airports in Saudi Arabia, the kingdom's General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) said.
GACA said Abha International Airport and King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh were targeted in two separate attacks Tuesday and Wednesday, with emergency and relevant authorities responding to both incidents.
The attack on Abha International Airport killed two residents, one Moroccan and one Algerian, and wounded 28 people, the authority said.
The injured included two Saudi citizens and residents of Bangladeshi and Filipino nationalities, with injuries ranging from minor to serious, GACA added.
At King Khalid International Airport, a Sudanese national was killed, and eight people were injured, including five Saudi, two Egyptian and a Pakistani national, the authority said.
All those injured were immediately taken to hospitals for medical treatment, GACA said, adding that the two attacks also caused material damage.
The authority said it continues to coordinate with relevant security agencies to assess the damage and take necessary measures to ensure the safety of passengers and airport employees.
Yemen's Houthis claimed Wednesday that they had carried out attacks targeting both airports.
Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree said the group targeted King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh with drones and carried out another operation against Abha International Airport using ballistic missiles and drones.

Bahrain's Foreign Minister Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani has arrived in Pakistan for a two-day visit.
"The visit reflects the close, cordial and brotherly ties between Pakistan and Bahrain and underscores the shared commitment to further strengthening bilateral cooperation," said a Pakistani foreign ministry statement.
Al Zayani and Pakistan's Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar are scheduled to co-chair the third session of the Pakistan-Bahrain Joint Ministerial Commission.
The visit came amid heightened tensions in the Middle East as the US-Iran war continues.
The World Health Organization (WHO) has urged a "constant and uninterrupted flow" of supplies into Gaza at scale, as Israel’s genocide of the Palestinian territory marked its third year.
“A year later, the health situation in Gaza remains critical, and the needs of almost two million people are overwhelming,” Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus told reporters in Geneva, noting that Saturday will mark one year since the ceasefire in Gaza took effect.
Tedros urged a “constant and uninterrupted flow of supplies at scale", as well as the restoration of health services and the opening of medical corridors.
He also demanded that the ceasefire be respected and maintained and endorsed “lasting peace and a political solution".
Four Palestinians, including a teen and a civil defence medic, were killed and others wounded in Israeli attacks.
In the latest attacks, a Palestinian was killed, and others were wounded in an Israeli drone strike targeting a tent sheltering displaced people in the Al-Buraq neighbourhood, west of Khan Younis, a medical source at Nasser Hospital told Anadolu.
The French foreign ministry has summoned the Iranian ambassador to protest against a "disinformation campaign conducted by the Iranian authorities" over the high school protests that have rocked France.
The ambassador was told that "the misleading content disseminated online" by official accounts of the Iranian foreign ministry was "absolutely unacceptable", it said in a statement, after Tehran summoned the French ambassador on Tuesday over the treatment of protesters in France.
Russian President Vladimir Putin told his Iranian counterpart, Masoud Pezeshkian, in a phone call that Moscow was ready to help efforts to mediate the Middle East war, Iranian state media reported.
Putin and Pezeshkian, in their call, spoke of the "positive and expanding trajectory of relations" between the two allies, stressing the need to further deepen ties, state news agency IRNA reported.
Putin "referred to efforts by some countries to mediate and help reduce tensions, saying that Russia supports them”, the agency added.
Putin said that Iran "can be assured that Moscow is also ready to play a role and provide assistance in this regard", according to IRNA.
Pro-Palestinian protesters and counter-protesters clashed in central London as police intervened during a demonstration in Russell Square.
Pro-Israel protesters approached students supporting Palestine who wanted to continue the march and hurled insults at them.
British police detained several people from both groups but had not yet released an exact number.
Students from King’s College London, the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), University College London (UCL) and the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), protesting Israel’s genocide in Gaza, which has entered its third year, began a march from King’s College London in solidarity with the Palestinian people.
The group organising the pro-Palestinian protest later told participants to disperse.
