Teenagers from Benin trafficked
The downturn in Nigeria's economy is having a some nasty side-effects. The poverty sees many attempt the trip to Europe, but then end up in prostitution.
Every year thousands of teenagers from the Nigerian city of Benin are trafficked. They often end up in Europe as forced labour and sex workers.
The United Nations wants to put an end to it, but it faces some tough challenges. In 2016 some 37,000 Nigerians crossed the Mediterranean, but many ended up as sex workers.
