China's 'hypersonic missile' catches US off guard
Reports suggest US officials were left speechless after China launched what appeared to be a nuclear-capable hypersonic missile. The Pentagon’s top general even said it was close to a Sputnik moment, referring to the USSR’s first satellite launch back in 1953. And while Beijing says it was just a routine space launch, it has done little to quell concerns.
