We remember Turkish poet Nazim Hikmet's legacy on his birthday. Hikmet was despised by the authorities in his homeland. His poems were banned and much of his life was spent in prison. But 55 years after his death he's recognized not only in Turkey, but also globally, as one of world's greatest modern poets.
