The Lubitsch Touch | Cinema | Showcase
American-German film director Ernst Lubitsch modernised Hollywood in the 1930s. The filmmaker whose career spanned more than four decades is renowned for his unique cinematic style. Director Jean Renoir credits Ernst for creating modern Hollywood through what's often called 'The Lubitsch Touch'. Here is a look at Lubitsch's work as we remember him, on his birthday.
