Türkiye’s Akkuyu power plant officially gains nuclear facility status
Türkiye is poised to make a significant breakthrough in its energy sector after the country’s first nuclear power plant, Akkuyu, was officially awarded nuclear power facility status. Located in the southern province of Mersin, the plant will meet 10 percent of Türkiye’s power needs by 2026.
