Global migrant remittance surges following decline in 2022
According to the World Bank's latest Migration and Development Brief, worldwide remittance rates are on the increase. Remittances are funds sent by overseas migrant workers back to their countries of origin, usually for the support of family members. The economic toll of the war in Ukraine caused a dip in remittance rates, but the sector is now recovering. Tayyibe Aydin explains.
