Venezuela holds referendum on status of oil-rich Essequibo
Venezuelans head to the polls on Sunday to vote on whether to recognise the oil-rich region of Essequibo in neighbouring Guyana, as part of their country. The decades-long territorial dispute has sparked security concerns in Brazil, prompting authorities there to send thousands of troops to its northern border. Obaida Hitto has more.
