The US approved the sale of F-16 fighter jets and modernisation kits to Türkiye
The deal - which has been passed to Congress - is worth 23 billion dollars and is for 40 aircraft, plus the modernisation kits for Türkiye's current fleet. Two members of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee who had previously said they weren't happy with the sale have now dropped their objections.
