High inflation hits month-long celebrations in Nigeria
Thousands of Nigerians living abroad fly to their home country every December to celebrate the festive season. Usually, West Africans return – mainly from Europe and America – for parties, weddings, street carnivals, Afrobeats concerts, and family reunions in what is now called “Detty December”.
