A group identifying as Palestinians in Japan opposed the event’s cooperation with Israel.

Protesters assembled outside the hotel where the conference was held, waving Palestinian flags and chanting slogans.

Some demonstrators also shouted pro-Palestinian slogans at speakers inside the hall.
