EU extends sanctions against Russia
The European Union has renewed its sanctions on Russia for another six months. The measures were first introduced in 2014, but have been significantly expanded since the Kremlin launched its war on Ukraine in early 2022. As Dasha Chernyshova reports from Moscow, they have not crippled the Russian economy as many had expected.
