Under more than 50 years of Assad family rule, Syrian people lived in fear and repression. With the regime now toppled, they hope their loved ones who were arrested, detained and tortured may still be alive. Many former prisoners have shared accounts of the atrocities they endured and witnessed. Kristina Simich has the story.
