Joseph Boakai begins a six-year term as president in Liberia

Liberia has marked a peaceful transfer of power with Joseph Boakai's swearing-in as its new leader. Since the end of civil war in 2003, the country has experienced relatively free and fair multi-party elections...even though this one was the closest run-off in the country's history.
