The Paris 2024 Olympics have begun with the opening ceremony taking place on the River Seine. Thousands are watching athletes sail down the river in this unique stadium-free event. Tens of thousands of police and soldiers are on security duty, but the day is marred by an attack on France’s rail network. Shadia Edwards-Dashti reports.
