UK Channel migrant crossings decreased by 33% in 2023
The number of migrants crossing the English channel dropped by a third in 2023 compared to the previous year. The statistics reflect high winds in the UK and better bilateral relations between London and Paris. Officials warn however, numbers are likely to increase again as smugglers adapt to weather conditions. Shadia Edwards-Dashti reports from London.
