A record number of women will be contesting Lebanon's first parliamentary elections in almost a decade.
Almost 1,000 candidates are taking part, and 11 percent are women.
There are only four female members in the current parliament of 128.
And as TRT World'sFrancis Collings finds, many of the female candidates hope this will be starting point for a more inclusive political system.
