A Palestinian was killed and five others were wounded on Monday in Israeli army and illegal settler attacks in the occupied West Bank provinces of Hebron and Jenin, according to Palestinian officials and medical sources.
Israeli forces opened fire on a vehicle carrying three Palestinians near Bani Naim, east of Hebron, killing one and wounding the other two.
The Palestinian General Authority of Civil Affairs identified the man killed as Hossam Alaa al-Din Abdul Jabbar Walad Ali, 38, and said Israeli forces withheld his body.
The Israeli army claimed that the three Palestinians had attempted to carry out a car-ramming attack against soldiers in the Bani Naim area.
In a separate attack, three Palestinians were wounded when illegal Israeli settlers assaulted them while they were harvesting olives near Yabad, southwest of Jenin.

Increasing violence by illegal settlers
The Palestinian Red Crescent said its crews treated three people injured in an attack by illegal Israeli settlers in the Imriha area and transferred them to hospital.
Local sources said that one Palestinian suffered a broken leg, another sustained an injury to his left hand, and an elderly man was beaten and sprayed with pepper spray.
According to the Palestinian Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission, illegal Israeli settlers have carried out more than 14,742 attacks across the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem, since October 2023, killing 66 Palestinians.
The attacks have also damaged or destroyed 147,111 trees through breaking, uprooting, burning, and poisoning, including 100,485 olive trees, the commission said.
