Heavy rains, flooding leave at least 200 dead in east of DR Congo
At least 200 people have died after heavy rains and flooding in the east of the Democratic Republic of Congo. Two rivers broke their banks after the storms swept in on Thursday evening, and multiple landslides have destroyed dozens of homes in South Kivu province.
