US regulator sues Coinbase, Binance to force compliance

Cryptocurrency investment has long ago diversified beyond bitcoin, and into an expanding universe of blockchain-based assets that can rise and fall rapidly in value. The US government thinks these look too much like stocks, and has slapped two major exchanges with lawsuits to get them to comply with regulations. It's the latest example of the world's most powerful government trying to keep the world's newest financial inventions in check. But how successful will the effort be? Wilson Dizard reports.
