Russia has put nuclear weapons in Belarus - the first ones stationed outside its borders since shortly after the Soviet Union collapsed. Putin insists they are there just to protect Russia’s borders, and the US says there’s no indication Russia plans on using them in Ukraine. So why do it? And what does it mean for the sovereignty of Belarus?
