Tensions between Kosovo and Serbia have soared since 2021

Kosovo has been working to restore a water canal after damage was caused by an explosion, which is blamed on Serbia. This is the most serious escalation in tension this year, further lowering expectations for normalization. Both sides have little hope that the EU can revive the dialogue process.
