Syria holds first high-level talks with IMF and World Bank in 20 years
A high-level Syrian delegation is in the United States this week to hold meetings with World Bank and IMF officials. It’s the first of its kind in more than two decades, as the war-torn country seeks removal of sanctions and to gain support from powerful international financial institutions.
