Israeli forces have advanced into the southern countryside of Quneitra with seven military vehicles and tanks, searching several homes before later withdrawing, according to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA).

An Israeli force entered the village of Sida al-Hanout and the outskirts of Al-Muallaqa in southern Quneitra, SANA said.

A force made up of four military vehicles entered Sida al-Hanout, where troops spread through residential areas and searched several homes, with no reports of arrests, the agency added.

Three Israeli tanks also advanced toward the vicinity of Tal al-Darayat on the outskirts of Al-Muallaqa before later withdrawing, the report said.

On Thursday, an Israeli force entered Sida al-Hanout on seven military vehicles and detained a young man before later releasing him, according to SANA.

There was no comment from Israeli or Syrian authorities on the incident, amid continuing Israeli violations of Syrian sovereignty.

Despite the new Syrian administration not issuing any threats towards Israel, Israeli forces have carried out air strikes in Syria since Assad’s ouster, killing civilians and targeting military sites, equipment and ammunition.
