Tanzania's two main opposition parties have called for a re-run of Wednesday's election after populist President John Magufuli was declared the winner with a crushing 84 percent of votes amid fraud allegations.
The result of presidential elections cannot be contested in Tanzania, though the parliamentary outcome can be challenged.
Tanzania and Zanzibar – an Indian Ocean archipelago and a semi-autonomous state of the East African country – are due to elect their presidents and lawmakers in Wednesday's election.
