The bus fell all the way to the bottom of a 400-metre ravine, leaving bodies scattered across the slopes of a hill in the desert region, press reports say.
A truck loaded with construction materials ploughed into a cluster of vehicles at high speed just hours after the country's coronavirus curfew took effect in the capital Cairo.
The bus was carrying more than 40 Chinese nationals heading towards the tourist town of Luang Prabang.
The two vehicles were carrying around 100 passengers when they crashed head-on in Khanpur, some 800 kilometres south of the capital, Islamabad.
