Tensions persist over Lebanon-Israel border dispute

The two countries have been locked in a battle over gas drilling rights and Israel's construction of a border wall that Lebanon says encroaches on its territory.

Israel and Lebanon have been exchanging threats and condemnation over a border wall being built by Israel, a tender issued by Beirut for oil and gas exploration in disputed waters and arms flows to Lebanon's Iran-backed Hezbollah group.

Tensions remain high amid fears the disputes could escalate into another war.
