Ukraine faces battle to fund its defence

As the conflict enters its twelfth week, Ukraine is struggling to keep its finances alive. The European Development Bank says Ukraine’s economy is set to contract by more than 30 percent this year. And if the government is to continue funding its defence, it must maintain control of Kryviy Rih. The central Ukrainian city is vital in more ways than one.
