Hong Kong’s mass demonstrations that began in June as peaceful protests against a bill that would have allowed extraditions to mainland China have morphed into public anger over police violence a lack of democracy. As protests have grown, so have the demands for reform. So will Chief Executive Carrie Lam’s concession in withdrawing the bill end the demonstrations? Natalie Poyhonen reports.
