South Africa's Ramaphosa called to solve the country's land-grab problem

The Parliament passed a motion last month seeking to change the constitution to allow land expropriation without compensation. President Ramaphosa has promised to speed up the transfer of land to black people.

The South African government recently started discussing amending the Constitution to allow expropriating land without compensation. 

But as politicians were debating the issue, violence broke out as people who had been waiting for housing for decades moved onto vacant land.
