Fearful Haitians flee across US border to Canada

Dozens of Haitians have been crossing to Canada illegally every day after US government ended their temporary protected status last year.

Last year, the US government ended temporary protected status, or TPS, for nearly 60,000 Haitians – meaning they must leave the country by mid-2019. 

Now, dozens of Haitians are crossing the US border into Canada daily, many illegally, saying they're fleeing the Trump administration's aggressive anti-immigration policies.
