The end of the year is peak season for air travel around the world. Some aviation carriers, including Singapore Airlines, hope to ride that wave by adding a touch of glamour to their planes

The airline, seen as a benchmark for Asian premium carriers, has been battling strong competition from Asian low-cost carriers and Middle Eastern airlines, which now boast modern fleets and top-quality in-flight services.
